Thomas R. Dyer is an attorney with emphasis in the areas of banking, business transactions, commercial real estate and commercial litigation
He is Co-Chair of the Firm's Financial Institutions Subgroup and is a member of the General Corporate and Real Estate & Lending Practice Groups. He concentrates his practice in the areas of banking, business transactions, commercial real estate and commercial litigation. He is the former Managing Partner of McDonnell Dyer and is on the Executive Committee of Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs. He has written articles for legal and financial institution trade publications and has lectured at educational seminars on lender liability, the responsibility of officers and directors and financial institution topics. Mr. Dyer serves on the Board of Directors of The Dixon Gallery and Gardens and The Hope Foundation. He is a member, and serves as Chairman, of the Boys' Club Foundation, member of the Tennessee Bar Foundation, Tennessee Young Lawyers Foundation, Memphis and American Bar Associations and Committee on the Banking Law Section of the American Bar Association, and the American College of Mortgage Attorneys. He is a former President of the Tennessee Young Lawyers, former member of the Board of Governors of the Tennessee Bar Association and House of Delegates, former member of the University of Tennessee College Alumni Association and served as a delegate to the Tennessee Constitutional Convention (1970-71), where he served as Chairman of the Intangible Tax Committee. He received his B.A. degree in 1963 and his J.D. degree in 1966 from the University of Tennessee.
