Dr. June Parker Goldman is currently serving a third four-year term as Commissioner of Dickinson County. She is also a sought after public speaker for professional, educational church and service organizations throughout Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois, Kansas and South Dakota.
She is a graduate of Wellesley College, Wellesley, Mass., 1947 with an honorary Doctor of Humanities from Morningside College, Sioux City Iowa, 1979
Dr. Goldman remains a United Methodist Church leader:
Elected lay delegate from Iowa for six General and jurisdictional Conferences (1976 - 1996).
Delegate to two World Methodist Conferences
Served on the General Commission on Religion and Race and on the General Commission on Church and Society
Lay member of the Iowa Annual Conference since 1975
Vice Chair of UMORE (United Methodists Organized for Renewal and Evangelism)
A member of the United Methodist Church in Spirit Lake, IA.
She is an author of two books, published by Abingdon Press: To Touch the Sky, 1969; and Search Every Corner, 1972.
